Mike, do you have any updated view on OXHP? As you know, I never bought it. Do you have a view on what it might be worth on a takeover, or takeunder? My guess is that they would be more likely to put themselves up for sale if they were desperate than if they were not.

Mike: nice article on tractors by your colleague.

investor.msn.com

Apparently analysts like all four, with some emphasis on Case and Deere.

I passed before on NH, AG at higher prices. Still too expensive for me.

Insight on UMR requested

This turned up on a screen with a P/E of .4, P/Rev of .08, P/B .11,
Debt/Equity 0, Div yield 105%.

Partnership is called Unimar
last four dividends:
02/11/98 0.410
11/12/97 0.320
08/12/97 0.490
05/13/97 0.690
02/12/97 0.640

10-K for FY ended Dec 96 here:
edgar-online.com

This is how much they payed out in the FYs ended Dec 96 and Dec 95
Participation Payment per unit $ 2.41 $ 1.76
======== ========

Further digging leads me to believe that shares in this company are
actually "IPUs" that expire in Sep 99. I think the financial
information that resulted in this showing up in the screen are
attributable to the partnership but not attributable to these IPUs.

However, with the current trading price at $1.81 and six dividends to
go...I think the upside is 18-33%...

I think there are some very misleading financials posted out there but
anybody else who'd care to look...
