Can someone tell me where to get a local quote for Asia Pulp and Paper? I am trying to cobble together a basket of Indonesian ADR's (including PAP) and need to be able to figure out the premiums they are trading at in the US and thus need updating, on-line, local price quotes.

Asia Pulp & Paper is headquartered in Singapore but I thought I heard that it trades in Jakarta, although I couldn't find it at jsx.co.id.

Also, what would be the thoughts from this group on the ideal basket of ADR's to mimic the Jakarta Index and/or Indonesia Fund or Jakarta Growth Fund.

TIA peter michaelson

Worswick,

You are right. If Japan tanks in a big way, Korea and rest of Asia will be down real big. I think US markets will also be impacted. My guess is Japan will some how muddle thru. I do not have a strong conviction and that's why I am very cautious. I have small positions in Asia and keeping my powider dry for better bargains.

If I was fully invested, there would be very good odds for the markets to go down. Now that I am cautious like you, I will be proved wrong again and markets will keep going up in Asia.

Best wishes,

Jyoti
