Unquestionably, the liberal ones villainize Trump, just as the conservative ones lionize him. Media outlets are candy stores who cater to their audience, just like any other merchant. Which is why it is critical to fund independent public news and local outlets. It is in the national interest to do so.

A few years ago there was a research on who the most informed people were. It was not those you listened to NYT or Fox, but rather those who primarily listened to NPR.

One can not trust any of our news media anymore. In the past, there were hundreds, if not thousands of companies involved in reporting news. Competition pressures alone forced some honesty out of reporting. Now, 6 control about 90% of the news media. The message has been easily homogenized.

I think the extreme liberal media is doing a good job of making sure Trump will be reelected. I've been watching him, as I am sure have a lot of people. And there are times that the headline you get out of the media is an outrageous twist of what he actually said.

To those who hate him, that is just what they want to hear and the paper makes their sale. And to those who love him, well they just block it out. But to the independents like me, it can leave a bad taste and make you think that all the bad headlines about him are a lie.

And before anyone mistakes me for Trump supporter - you should reread what I said above - I am an independent. There are a ton of things about Trump that I don't like. But I also dislike outright lies and the idiotic attacks on him...about as much as I dislike the saintly portrayals of him.

A polarized society is a hard place for an independent to be in :-/
