You can try and tell people what the beaches are like on the Emerald Coast, but it always falls short from the reality of pure white sand that feels like flour under your feet and the rich emerald green color of the water. It's sheer perfection. We always spend at least one day on Crab Island with a pontoon and wave runner. It's the highlight of the trip for my grandchildren. I've been watching your temps down there, too. Are you worried though about a worse than usual toxic bloom--a red tide occurrence?
