I noticed in the last DELL catalog that the std mega system now comes
with the 9.1GB SEG for the super zoomy model. 8.4GB DDs
(Maxtor,QNTM, IBM) for the high end, but not quite fastest box model.
6.4GB for the next series and a few come with as *little* as 4.3GB.
It seems every month the capacity gets shifted up one step. It won't be long
before their bottom basement model comes with the 6.4GB.

The biggest DD WDC makes is the 6.4GB caviar because it's only
a 3 platter DD. Why 3 platter? Why not 4? Are they about to get lost
in the quick tansition to the higher capacity DDs? Has anyone heard
any plans for the 2.8GB Chandler family? Is it a 4 platter DD or still
a 3 platter?
