>>So Jane's conscience helped lead to the deaths of many of my friends. I SPIT on her conscience.<<

I am truly sorry for all those who died in Vietnam. But their deaths were caused by those who pushed America into a war where our country did not belong, not by Jane Fonda.

No, halfscot, according to my definition of patriotism, Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin hopefully would never have been able to accomplish all the horrendous, murderous deeds because the people under them would have searched their own consciences instead of thinking "my country, right or wrong!"

Haven't you ever heard the old saying, "What if they gave a war and nobody came"? That was perfect for the Viet Nam conflict. I believe that most Americans can think their way out of paper bags AND determine for themselves the differences between a necessary war like World War II, or disarming Saddam of his lethal weapons of mass destruction, and conflicts like Viet Nam where we had an ulterior motive which did not justify Americans dying.

Perhaps I give people more credit than you do.
