All:

I contacted the company on Friday. While I was on the phone, the
engineers were in the process of testing a Tempest located outside
of Shanghai with a competing product from a company called
Intellinet? I am not sure I got the name correct. But, as usual,
the Tempest kicked and the competition fizzled. I found it
particularly interesting that a DVG was already located in the
Far East. From what I have been told, there is a big call-back
business there.

Additionally, I inquired about the evaluation units. Apparently
Franklin is working with several customers in making certain
modifications to the DVGs as requested by some of these potential
customers. The company is very confident that several of these
evaluation orders will turn firm, soon. I sensed a certain
"matter-of-fact" attitude in some of the conversation, which I
made me feel very confident in these statements...the type of
attitude that you would only recognize after conversing with
someone over a long period of time, which I have.

Also, it is my feeling, along with others who are much more
informed than me, that there is much more to the Worldcom deal
than meets the eye. I always go back to some of Elk's statements
concerning the presence of Worldcom reps at the NY demo. It is
my opinion, repeat opinion only, that the Worldcom colocate deal
will turn out to be more than meets the eye.

I really wasn't sure I wanted to share this info, although
its not much. I decided to post it to hopefully get this thread
back on the right track.
