cpq buying dec had everything to do with the 64 bit chips and getttgin them cheap and the most improtant thing is dec's service and support and consulting infrastructure.
consulting is where the 50% gross margin biz is.
plus on the big accts. it will be a plus.
I wish dell would have purchased dec.
the consolidation is happening. dell needs to provide this high end soemhow for a year 2000 plan
