There is quite a bit of "misinformation" coming out that I believe some think it is better to "lie" or keep the public stupid rather than explain to them the issues like adults.

The best example of what they have said and are now saying about masks. The homemade masks that Trump refuses to wear do very little to protect the users but can do a great job to reduce the "sneeze radius" of a C19 infected person without symptoms in public.

Other countries, especially in Asia, are very polite and thinking of others is a matter of habit and social training which is probably how they evolved well living in such tightly packed cities. Trump usually defaults to thinking about himself and he, like most of the country who flocked to beaches, NOLA Mardi Gras, Spring Break and bars in NYC.... it takes some time to shame them into behaving in a way that is considerate of others.

Shelter in place works damned well when people understand and comply.

If it was not so morbid to say so, I might say NYC would "kill" to have our zero new deaths over the last two reported days.... we're running about 50% of ventilator capacity and my guess is the antivirals and other treatments work well when the medical system is not overloaded.
