I see first hand info from videos done by private citizens online that says otherwise (the exception of course being a half dozen hotbeds eg NY) and directly from doctors I know in Dayton. I and they think cases and deaths from covid are being overstated. Just my opinion which would not be backed up by what the media presents.

<<as much as most news these days is fake>>

Completely untrue. If it is then we're really fucked. Don't mix op-ed with news. That's the problem with cable news media today. CNN/FOX/MSNBC are mostly op-ed......the NEWS they report is real and has to be vetted. Problem is most viewers are mistaking the talking heads opining on the details as real NEWS. It's opinion based on expertise/experience but almost always from a biased viewpoint (left and right). When outlets make NEWS mistakes they will recant (Fox is the most questionable on this IMO but I believe for the most part their NEWS is not fake either).

I watch SKY news live feed on YouTube mostly. It's overwhelmingly NEWS, not op-ed. Old school is usually better with most things ;-)
