The ship is now docked because it can't function so the captain did the right thing. The fact that the military (and others) didn't see this coming is appalling. Granted, it wasn't high on my list of things to follow but that's not my job. We hire people in government and in medicine to be on top of pandemics and no one was ready. I guess I understand why the Great Recession happened a little better. No one reads. If they had they'd have known we had record foreclosures before the GR and China was shut down long before the virus hit us. We can't blame only the idiot. We have to blame a lot of people (but mostly the idiot), People need to start reading again. Seriously.
