IMO these sub 1000$ pc's seem a joke to me. Fact is-last time I checked- most of the pc's sold are to 2nd time buyers. I know that I certainly would not want a sub 1000: I want more memory, mhz and speed. Oh and a bigger monitor. 1000 bucks won't give me that. Friends that aren't on-the-net and ask me "what shld I get??" I tell them the same. etc. For goodness sake, if they just want to get on the net then get a 200$ web TV box .
