I don't have a link. I watched a White House briefing recently where Dr. Fauci told the press the exact timeline. He cited the dates he and Dr. Birx went to President Trump and asked him to shut down flights to China, Europe, and the UK, as well as to issue shelter in place guidelines, and then the extension to recommended shelter in place, and Dr. Fauci stated that Trump agreed every time he and Dr. Birx requested those things be done. Basically, he confirmed what Trump has been saying all along, which is that he has been following the advice of the Doctors who are in charge of this mess. So if you believe Dr. Fauci, then that is what happened. I'm sure there is a transcript of the White House briefing somewhere on the internet that you can find. It was the same day that the journalist asked Dr. Fauci if he was saying these things voluntarily and he got pissed off and told her that he does everything voluntarily and that she should not even imply that he does not. It was a very fiery exchange. Dr. Fauci was clearly pissed off at the journalist for her biased questions.

Now, keep in mind that you know very well, I am against this shutdown. Doctors have only one focus and that is saving lives. Dr. Fauci is myopically focused on minimizing deaths from COVID. But there is a bigger picture here. Millions of lives are being ruined and poverty kills. 22 million unemployed so far. Someone needs to stand up for these people. It's very easy for rich people like Fauci to say no big deal, just a little economic pain is worth it. But until you have lived hand to mouth, paycheck to paycheck, and wondered where your next meal was going to come from like I have in my youth, then you don't know the pain of poverty and you are not qualified to make decisions like shutting down the economy. I would have never shut down the economy like they did. It is damned near criminal doing this and most certainly un-Constitutional.
