Back in late January Canadian government said..essentially We Got This.. we learned from SARS... well they didn't I guess.. The north south pull for family between the US / Canada in the east specifically goes back many generations.. When I came to Ontario from Montreal Qc 35 odd years back it was like a new country .. Upstate New York, Vermont and Maine were familiar growing up.. local news from there, familiar family names, familiar local brands.. Spent a lot of time there.. Lots of traveling typically happens to New York area from Montreal in February ... And snowbirds returning in March from FLA.. Authorities were certainly asleep at the wheel.. on both sides of the border... Montreal is Canada's hotspot...
