OK, here are FACTS. The last POW pick I saw (and unwisely invested in) was AMVC (which seems to have been forgotten). I believe this was picked on or around 12/02/97 at 2 1/4. As of this writing the price is 1 3/4. You can do the math. Also, feel free to go back and look, since that pick was posted it has not ONCE been above that price. I invested (against the TA didn't like) hoping that the followers on this thread may push it up for a quick pop. WRONG!
Quickly, AMVC at the time of the pick was in terms of stochastics and RSI overbought. If you want to apply candles...A big black candle occurred prior to pick. (BEARISH in case you don't use them). Small caps like this have large spreads due to low vol and the fact that they are low priced makes overcoming the spread an even big %. AMVC as of this writing has a 30 day avg volume of 46k. Not such a hot issue. As Mr Smith noted, investors were urged to average down as the price fell. Well if they had., they would be holding twice as much of a loser instead of cutting losses. (which i did) on the next TECHNICAL high. My loss was minmized and the stock has proceeded to drop along w price and vol. Now maybe in 3 months it may hit target of 4, but i think money has better places to be. Timing is everything.

Continued...Please do not take these observations as personal attacks. I have talked w Doug and he has given me his thoughts on things as they develop. I am not here to bad mouth anyone. I am just pointing out a particularly horrible pick. Before you say "we can't all be right all of the time"...That is true. I'm not and don't claim to be, but some of the stocks discussed here are very shaky. I doubt highly that people that move the markets even know RLLY exists. Some of these stocks are touted as bargains because of their low P/E. Well, I am not a fan of extremely high P/Es either...though one could have made a nice dollar on ONSL, AMZN, RMBS and the likes. These are great for short term momentum rides. However just because the S&P may have a P/E of say 25, does not mean AMVC is a "bargain" or a "value" because it has a P/E of 4. Chasing these little guys around is a hard job and I am pointing out that while small -mid caps are my favorites....under 3 or 4 dollars is ridiculous. The POW portfolio better than anyhting you've seen in 20 years?!?...You have not been looking in the right places. No offense to anyone...this is one of the only pages i have bookmarked. I am just saying be careful and don't expect too much from thinly traded $3 stocks. Also the TA is tough to apply to such small fries. And YES i would say a great % of the shares traded in some of these cos comes from SI posters/followers....remember you dont have to pay to read.
Caution to all........Good luck to all
Go RLLY!
