I fail to see how Biden would be a better alternative than Trump with a Dem Congress and Senate. Lets begin with the Federalist Society's new RW SCOTUS, and unqualified federal court nominees. And continue with common sense gun laws. Perhaps we can overturn Citizens United. And clean air, safe food, and consumer protections, especially for the poor. And constantly improving the ACA rather than a ban. But it all begins with while imperfect, a decent human being that has not prioritized getting personally rich and richer over doing his honest best to improve the country and world. Despite, much like Gore in 2000, his shortcomings in the eyes of the far left.

I have a hunch I am a bit more progressive than you and do not like what the establishment did to Bernie and do not like Biden, but the idea things will be fine with trump is insane, IMO. Do you not understand Trump is both a cretin and insane and even if we dems have the house and senate, they cannot stop Trump from destroying our international relations that keep us safe, e.g. sharing of intelligence, start wars, even a nuclear war and set the supreme court to be completely fascist for decades. And there is no guarantee the dems will win the senate. What do we do then? Trump could end civilization as we know it at worst and totally destroy our relationships with the western democracies and put us in the camp with Russia, North Korea and other dictatorships at best. Look at how much damage he has already done! The senate cannot and will not prevent Trump from naming terrible judges and administrators, or destroying our democracy. Are you so aggrieved you are willing to risk the destruction of not only our nation, but the world's civilization? I can't and will not for Obama III. I voted for Obama I and did not like what I saw during his first term. I sat out the 2012 Presidential election. But I will not be sitting out this coming election. As for the abortion issue, I am pro choice and believe in separation of church from State. Pro choice does not mean pro abortion or pro life. In contrast to you, I have a very deep religious faith in G-d. My mom and wife both had abortions and I had no problem with that whatsoever. When my Mom had an abortion, it was illegal and she had it done in Puerto Rico. I am a progressive and neither candidate is progressive. I fail to see how Biden would be a better alternative than Trump with a Dem Congress and Senate. I can't stand the DNC and how they screwed Bernie over the past two primaries. As far as I am concerned, the Corporate Wing of the Dem Party should drop dead and that's how I plan to vote for President, but with a twist to make sure Trump is mostly checked in his powers by voting Dem in Senate and House races, since I don't like his policies either.
