Kelly Flynn, a female AirForce pilot, was discharged from the service due to the fact that she had an affair with a married man. What should the punishment be for the Commander-in-Chief?

Conducting yourself in this manner leaves you open to blackmail. I'm assuming the president himself couldn't get a security clearance if he had to meet the same criteria as an "average" citizen.

Which is precisely why this stuff shouldn't be considered important by anyone, or suitable fodder for the media. If nobody cares, you don't make much of a blackmail victim.

Now that we're in the midst of a sex scandal feeding frenzy, of course it's affecting his ability to do his job. I shouldn't think it did at the time he was actually having the affair, though. Yes, he's been exceedingly stupid, especially in his choice of women over the years. But having an extracurricular sex life is not, in itself, an indication of incompetence or inability in other areas.

I really, really don't care whether our President is an adulterer or not.
