Much truth in what you say.
As to the ability of rural customers to afford the expected price of GSTRF service, an independant analysis was done to determine the size of the rural market which could afford the service prices as projected. GSTRF is aiming to achieve about 10-20% of that market... you know, the market of rural customers which can afford it. Those who can not afford it, were left entirely out of GSTRF's expected market... as were about 80% in the rural market who could. For example... GSTRF's revenue projections are based on only 200,000 chinese customers making up the entire customer base GSTRF expects to realize in that country... about 1/5 of those the analysis show could afford it. Remember also that the service price will be partially subsidized by the governments themselves in some cases. This is not exactly "shooting for the stars". In fact, I find it rather modest. I think the stock is speculative but, I do not think Bernie needs any hype here. The potential is huge. You would scarcely believe what some analysts are starting to say about the potential of this industry behind closed doors.
Sure, there will be many who or not specifically targeted as customers who will be customers anyway. They are "icing on the cake" so to speak. The figures do not depend on them. Given the target is achieved, these additional customers will be a bonus.
Have you seen the GSTRF phones? They are the size of a standard handheld cellular phone... quite remarkable. They are not "bulky" or "awkward" at all. Barron's wrote that they were (a few months ago) but, they were in error.
They will also be dual mode so that, only one phone will be required whether suburban or, for that matter, urban.
At any rate... as it stands... one has a choice... IRIDF at an estimated world-wide average of $3+/minute or, GSTRF at an estimated world-wide average of $1.35+/minute.
That's what I see from my vantage point and, from up here, the view is pretty good.

Anyway, hope all is well as can be Maurice.
BENNETT

It appears as if Iridium has beaten them to the military. As for your concern of the possibility of the U.S. shutting foreign users down in times of war, I* seems to have also solved that problem. They simply sell the military customer their own gateway. With I* you only need one gateway to access the entire system.
