His speeches and his writings over several decades. I suppose you can take the stance that he didn't mean it when he said it and wrote it I suppose, but... Probably the most important was the memo he wrote to Rosenstein where he explicitly stated "Constitutionally, it is wrong to conceive of the President as simply the highest officer within the Executive branch hierarchy. He alone is the Executive branch.”

Fine, but where is the evidence of this? Barr has said so over and over. For someone who is such a fan, I don't see how you could have missed it. So, do you approve of disapprove of the Unitary Executive POV? If you approve, then why are you defending Barr from the notion that he holds it? Barr just let a guy go free who CONFESSED to violating the law. That's not a perfect AG. You should read my Hard Look at Trump thread. I started that thread in Feb 2016 though I was alarmed at the threat Trump presented even earlier. IOW I've been Never Trump from the time he showed up. Trump is a unique threat to the US and he keeps getting worse. The upcoming election is a REAL "Flight 93 election."
