Here is a different view on Intel roadmap:

The printed copy has a table and availability of cacheless P-II 266 is Midyear, P-II 300 with integrated cache Q4, LX-R limited options 2H 98.

I think some of the dates in Techweb article are announcement dates, not due dates. We will see.

If PC Week article is correct, Intel's entry level products will come out at about the same time MXi is supposet to be released. It will mean some free publicity for Cyrix, since it would be stupid to evaluate Intel low end chips without comparing them to alternative approaches for building low cost systems.
