Uh, Duncan, revisionism is interesting, but to argue that FDR (the godfather, I assume) cost the country lives and money is like saying that Lincoln cost the country lives and money. Certainly true, but think of the costs of not doing so. Had the 1930s Congress been a little more aware of world events and a little less ostrichy, we would have lost less of both. And my view has nothing to do with any political affiliation (I'm a Druid...)
