May add some water utilities to my utility basket;

American Water Works Company (AWK) - 1.8% PE=32
American States Water Company (AWR) - 1.55% PE=35
Middlesex Water Company (MSEX) - 1.61% PE=29
The York Water Company (YORW) - 1.68% div PE=35 . .must have some write downs forward PE 0.03

AWR looks like it sold off the most of the group

Still not cheap. For a water play still like BWEL for their water 'rights' in CA which may/could someday be monitized.

<Going private means cheaper, higher quality, and efficient service.>

Not cheaper. They are guaranteed a certain return on investment, so they invest in more capital. The water treatment plants are more up-to-date, cleaner, shiny in fact, and better run. But the water bills typically go up.
