Good post, Mindmeld. You can always vote your way into a socialism, but you will always have to shoot your way out of one. There is some hope, though. Even the Democrats couldn't stomach an avowed socialist being their nominee, so instead they appointed Mr. Dementia as their figurehead. Meanwhile, tech gurus like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are finally understanding that Washington is not on their side and never will be. Right now, of course, Zuck is erring on the side of more censorship over more freedom of speech, but I believe he will eventually come around and decide that the free market of ideas is worth defending.
