I don't think you understand how this works. While it is clear population density has a meaningful relationship with the problem, it doesn't explain California. It doesn't explain Florida. It doesn't explain the nursing home mess (and in fact, only one thing does). It doesn't explain how both CA and NY are whining about needing billions from the federal taxpayers. It doesn't explain NYC's total lack of preparedness -- not just compared with other states and cities -- but against the entire developed world.

Why are you trying to defend this stuff? You say you're politically free, but you look like you're extremely tightly controlled by partisan consideration. You cannot make the argument, credibly, that the NE states has performed well. This idiot governor in NJ, when asked will NJ allow gatherings of > 50 in the coming year, said "I hope so." You don't have to think long about that realize how outrageous that comment is.

I don't know how you support this kind of crazy.
