One death every three months is the usual ,maybe 2.We have a medical unit and six internists . I am not trying to minimize what has just passed. The nursing homes were a disaster and it is not business as usual but will be in the next week or two but with lots of COVID testing My point is that we are at the beginning of the end in my opinion
I know only one patient on a significant dose of chlorpromazine and she did well We dont use this often. 10% chance of seizures

In terms of being representative I made no such claims. I did work in four nursing facilities and a psychiatric unit all full of Covid with more than 40 deaths total. In one of my facilities over half the staff became infected and four ended up on a respirator. Again this was only one facility I followed both my parents in and out of the ICUs and medical facilities and nursing home during this time.My father died of the illness and my mother survived it I would think that my experience was as good as as any physician in the United States in the long-term care aspects of Covid. I cannot speak to the acute care side of things other than talks with people in that area. The acute care side never became overwhelmed in my area I wish it all never happened.I pity those who secretly hoped for the worse. May their eyes be opened
