I'll be totally honest with you. I was educated in a private school in the Midwest for undergrad. My law school was private as well. I have spent a lot of time around UCLA students in the past 10 years as my wife had a business near UCLA and many of her customers were from that school. Both students and faculty.

UCLA is now the most sought after school in the UC system. They have the lowest acceptance rate of all of the UC schools including Berkeley. .And yet, desptie the innate intelligence of the students there, (which is high) I found them to be fairly ignorant especially when came to their knowledge of history and political science (which was the easiest for me to judge since that was the backbone of my own education). They simply are not being taught history as it occurred and their understanding of political systems is weak. Needless to say, I would never send a child or a grandchild to a UC school after seeing that.

It reminded me of what we had been taught in the early 70s that the educational system was going to be changed to put it more into line with the Frankfurt School theories of cultural marxism. In other words, a new paradigm of "new facts" and a "newly created reality". It is all based on the idea or theory that we are products of our education and we can be made to believe whatever we have been told to believe, whether it is true or not. And since these people believe that the ends justify the means, then any way to get to the target is acceptable. And you can see that at work every day now as the media brainwashes the public with lies and half truths to mold opinion. ,

They do it with the false theories of climate change, they do it with the foods they try to get you to eat, and they do it with the way they portray Trump as just three simple examples. .
