accept the fact?? where is this coming from, but i will tell you the following....i am retired at age 32 and trade my own acct for a living. i previously worked for paine webber staright from college...starting off pushing series 6 products for ira's 401k lumpsum distribution etc...in case YOU are inexperienced, mf's and annuities are the cornerstone of series 6 brokering. After that initiating, required starting position, I obtained a series 7 license which enabled me to trade accts for clients. However, i was interested in "trading" and as you probably know, most brokerage houses are interested in selling their own products and producing commoissions...there are very few "traders" that work in institutional firms.I spent most of my time "trading" my acct and a few others....after being successful at trading..SHORT TERM...i moved on and now trade my own acct. I do not have "favorites" as my favorites appear at the end of each day and then i move on to others. I am short term oriented....days/week(s)....so i dont have favorites and do not rely on earnings projections or hypotheticals to trade on....if you notice most brokerage houses recommendations/upgrades/downgrades...produce short term results...only to see the price move against the recomendation.
i will post what i can, but the nature of my trading doesn't allow for favorites or holds.....however one stock you can not go wrong with if you are long term oriented is PFE....which splits, pays dividends and is generally considered on the "inside" as the leader in its industry....i am not recommending entry at this point, i am just saying it is a nice stock to have....it will give you a nice nest egg....while you trade w other dollars.
