To All San Diego CDMA users ... (Somewhat off Topic)

Can someone give me some input on which PCS service i should get? My older cell phone was stolen with my wife's car, so this is a good opportunity to go digital with the insurance money. I have talked with several service reps, who only added to my confusion, and figure those on this thread would know as much or more than anybody.

Obviously would prefer CDMA since so much of my money is tied up in its success! The question is GTE or Sprint? Or are there other carriers using CDMA in San Diego? Pure digital or Dual band/mode? Reliability and wide coverage in San Diego county is important to me, and i would like some coverage in LA and Orange counties. If any of them will work in Big Bear, that would be a big plus as I have property up there. Being able to call my office from the ski slopes may be too much to ask for, but one can hope.

I would appreciate any input and/or personal experiences with the different services. Would consider non-CDMA if it met my other requirements (now I'm talking heresy!!!)

Thanks in advance, Steve
