I agree that it can be desirable to ignore some posts... however, there can be a danger to that... and that is why "500 defenders of the stock will post notes explaining why the original pest is ridiculous, or inflammatory". I've seen several cases where some basher comes along and scares some weak hands out and also degrades the value of an investment... that is why people rush to defend.

If you have 'ignored' someone, you will not be able to defend your investment.

However, if you want that privledge, I think it might be a nice feature!

by mistake. <ggg>

The trouble is, you then don't understand other postings to
the turkey you're ignoring, which VERY OFTEN have subsidiary
stuff, engendered by the flame or whatever, that's really
interesting.

We've been through this recently here. Maybe
you have some ideas how to address this problem? If memory
serves me right, the conclusion was that the loss wasn't worth
the gain unless there was some additional something-or-other
to take care of it. I could be misremembering.
