Just looking at Canada's stats: Canada: total cases 107,000 or 2,856 per million/ 233 deaths per million
Be interesting to see how Quebec does once the fall session gets rolling. Hope it goes well.
We've got nine states that each have more total cases than all of Canada. Of course some of this
is sparse populations in some territories. I.E. North Dakota/ & the prairie provinces= sparse.
The U.S. has about a dozen states where cases are spiking now.
I suspect many U.S. states will do some kind of school opening... but how and when, is going to be very
related to the state of the contagion.
Still, we come back to the issue of the working parents who must work in order to avoid homelessness...
may be time to recruit gramps and grandma to help out... whoops...well there's that age thing.

I think school can happen with the right PPE and for students and staff. They will all need training. With enforcement. We must get this right. And regular testing of staff and students.

Then we need to figure out how to support the kids who are positive and can't come to class.

But there is not enough PPE. Forget masks on little kids; lets be real, they will need face shields. Or possibly a change of clothes when entering the school from outside. Like kids from homes who believe Jesus will prevent the spread.

Trump lied for months about the PPE. They suspended USDA approvals and we imported (with great middleman profits) hundreds of millions of dollars worth of bad tests and suboptimal PPE.

Last week Pence told hospitals to reuse their PPE during the shortages.

With better leadership we wouldn't be in this FUBARED reality.

I really go nuts when Trump says he prevented millions of deaths with his (faux) "travel ban." And when he says liberals didn't believe it was real until after he saved us from millions of deaths.

This is the worst Presidency ever.
