Re "attractive profession for bullies". There are cases where the difference is hard to detect. I was amazed at who became cops out of my high school class! That clown in Minnesota who knelt on Floyd's neck was clearly in the bully class. Wonder how he feels facing likely a long time jail term and watching the country explode. But, boy, what a tough profession to be in right now and we really do need them and need to support them.

I had a run in with one of the "bully" types here once and I"m still mad about it. But another half dozen I've met or interacted with in the region were just doing their job and did it pretty well.

Wondering about the shut down out your way. Are businesses folding? Starting to see that here. Businesses have just quit. Empty buildings all boarded up. And now the fires are starting...clearly "insurance" jobs. Been several in the state in the past week...bowling ally, hardware store, small restaurants.

academicHi Kirk,

We so often find each other on the same page.

I too do not want to get into the numbers, but he fact that more black people are killed by black cops and that fewer black people have been killed by fewer and fewer white cops is an indication that the racists screams and claims have gone too far.

It is now the racists doing the racist labeling.

An open mind on the subject would give credit to the improvement of the numbers over a longer time frame.

When someone claims a systemic racist situation, it is a "they've got an agenda that cannot be supported by the facts" which immediately puts question into their claims to me.

I saw corporate America change academic requirements just to get black Americans on their payroll. EEO changed that argument way back in the early 70's.

Yet black American leaders never tell their followers "It is working" , modify your lifestyle and chase the success that is out there.

Many of my black friends at GMI have done very well for themselves! It is a success story that needs to be told more often.

Out with the old and In with the new!

Bob
