MY WAG THE DOG THEORY Clinton has admitted his affair with Flowers and by all accounts Jones has got him cold. So over the past year, Clinton and his team get together and develop a plan. A plan to get the public forget about his past affairs and make his popularity soar with the American public. Part I The Patsy They look at the current interns, do personality profiles on them and come to the conclusion that the most vulnerable, culpable, prevaricator available is Miss Lewinski. Part II The Set Up They devise a plan whereby the President takes a particular fondness in Miss Lewisnski. He sends her gifts, becomes "touchy feely"..ie hugs...BUT not sex, sends her letters, tells her privately how much he thinks of her. Part III The Set Up Continues They know Tripp's profile...gossiper etc and she would love to be in the center of attention nailing Clinton. They pass on a rumour to her that Lewinski may be having an affair with the President.. ie "I saw him giving her a hug in the hallway." She befriends Lewinski and Monica tells him what she knows...Clinton has given her gifts, she loves the man dearly, she has placed alove letter in the newspaper for him, she tells Tripp exactly what she thinks of him...but expands it to a sexual relationship that never happened. Her profile has shown her to read more into relationships than what is there. Part IV Press picks up Story The Presidents men continue to leak information..ie President's sperm on dress, Secret Service man saw them in the act etc etc... the Pres looks like a dead duck the public is outraged ...Clinton then gets on TV and looks straight into the camera and says forcefully, " I never had sex with that woman...etc etc." Part V Epilogue Lewinski has boasted of her friendship with the President and turned into sexual lies...she is repudiated. The public turns on her. Clinton's popularity soars to all time highs as he repeats "I was telling the truth." His judgement and sincerity cannot be questioned again. His previous affairs are a thing of the past. There will nver be a future claim against him.
