It's always been a high-risk stock and unfortunately most of my (and others) expectations were far too high at first. We had no idea the company's internal "marketing" plans weren't going to work out as expected and we had no idea it would take so long to get some reputable resellers geared up to move this product into the marketplace where it belonged.

Being long many of us have remained rather optimistic since we believe once acceptance begins from the market this product could provide impressive sales -
I still believe it and I don't think the stock price comes close to reflecting the potential looking forward.

Of course there have been other things like Cygnet Securities contributing so heavily to the runup in Dec/Jan followed by their abandoning 900K shares at WS Clearing. Some were obviously aware of this fact long before the general public and that's about the time the short interest accelerated. What a mess. Private offerings - another mess.

If it's any consolation I've certainly lost a lot of money in this stock but mainly due to being an idiot and running a high margin account with RACE as a high percentage of it. Several months ago I went totally out of margin but I warn you - I've been buying the stock as I can and did so again today.

I don't mean for my posts to appear as hype - I truly don't - but I'm an absolute sort of guy. Anyone familiar with the company's modem operations fully realizes it's always been characterized by dry holes followed by occasional, totally unexpected gushers. My point is there's always the possibility of orders in this area but I believe most also know that any new modem business is historically a very low-margin sale. I am pleased they have taken steps to reorganize this part of the business and are now emphasizing that it may now be more dominated by occasional reorders and royalty revenue but I still won't rule out the unexpected and anything is welcome that helps pay the bills.

I assume if you've been reading you've noticed the majority of my posts have been aimed at discussions of the various technologies that are on the front pages of some of the news sites. If you want to talk about hype I believe that's where you're seeing the major injustice and I try to go out of my way to post articles from the most unbiased sources I can find about these technologies. I'm also not lying when I mention having neighbors who have been in the telecom world for 40 years and they've been a great education on some of these issues.

The stock? I'm certainly the farthest thing from an analyst there is and not even Rod could dispute that. I do realize it was way ahead of itself at the first of last year and as to where it is now is totally a personal call. My research on the technical side of things says things are looking very good but others have to also take into account their opinions of the company itself as well as the sentiment of the market.

Best of luck -
