Briefing agrees with us. May be in for a ride: They're baaack... After months of seriously underperforming the market, the highly volatile tech sector is back on the upswing... After showing modest signs of life over past couple weeks, sector has exploded to the upside this week... Strong leadership, better-than-feared earnings news and bargain hunting behind the gains... Look for short-covering and sector rotation (perhaps out of the overvalued drug group) to add fuel to the advance... This is the healthiest the tech sector has looked for quite some time and we expect group to pace market to solid near-term gains. --- Scoobie-doo
