But Briefing also added this about semiconductors:

Technical underpinnings improving significantly... However, risks in
this group remain relatively high as Asia's problems not over... In fact, looks increasingly
likely that China will devalue later this year... If so, sector could take another hit.

Semi's were up today because Lehman's analyst said DRAM prices should increase in the near term. This news boosted AMAT, Texas Instruments, MU, LSI, etc.

By the the way I was wrong about LSI's stock price but it is still looking toppy on the charts.
