Mike,

My opinion of today's activity: Remember the major shakeout that one day in IFCI just before it surged? Well, what happens is a brokerage that also makes a market in a stock wants ALOT of shares. There are 2 places on the open market to get them. One place is from those who will sell at a higher price. The other is from those with stops in place for everyone to see. If they just start buying, they pay "too much" because the volume involved would spike the price. If they take out all the stops and buy all day long, they get a great price. Now suppose this firm is about to initiate coverage. Before they do so, they will buy up shares on behalf of all their "best" clients. Earnings due very soon. A major shakeout just before earnings. Huge volume and the stock works its way back to unchanged for the day???? Hmmmm.
