Wait a minute BAP, what you describe is not harassment, if it is consensual. While I agree it certainly opens up the question of Clinton's judgement with respect to his dealing with his hormones, it is not harassment. From the public statements to date it would seem that entrapment would be closer to the truth.

I'll bet Woody Allen is your favorite director. :^)

Betty,
Help me out here. Your's and a lot of other statements keep saying, "if, if, if, allegations are true," then make characterizations of willie as IF they were a god stamped fact! The only "fact" of impropriety as far as adultry, sexual harrasement or otherwise poor judgement in liasions with women, is the Flowers episode. And that one is on shaky ground with me. (I concede I did not hear Clinton's admission, did you?). As a matter of fact that is still up to speculation, as it is still hearsay as to what he said in that "sealed" affidavit. IF those allegations prove false, what say you about Hoodwinsky and Paula (keep up with the)Jones? I'll get in line with you all to tar and feather the prez, IF and WHEN there is proven substance (other than spit on her dress) to the alligations. A point could be made for motive of false accusations for all the players,if we chose to be objective. I dare not know that he is innocent of anything, but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt if I am going to lean either way, as much for national interest as anything. What IF Paula Jones et al. are all fame and fortune seekers and the prez hasn't engaged in any improprity and HAS set an appropriate example? (please use/stretch the imagination to its fullest here :) ) I'm not saying he hasn't, but I'm saying "IF", because no improprity (with women) has been proven CONCLUSIVELY.

Respectfully

Frank

If the allegations are true, consider what the outcome would be if
Lewinsky had chose to take her "evidence" to an attorney and initiate her own lawsuit a la Paula Jones?

I don't think she'd have had a case, as by her own account (true or not) she submitted more than willingly to his advances, and the affair continued for three years. Jones claims she did not submit, and even so has to demonstrate that her job was in danger as a result of her refusal.

I wonder more and more about Paula. According to the trooper who escorted her to the hotel she said she was "going to be the Governor's girlfriend". What happened? Could it be that they had it off and then he never called her again? Nothing like a woman scorned....

I do agree, though, that Clinton's behavior, if as reported, bespeaks a lack of judgment, taste, and elementary good sense.
