TexasDude, you couldn't be further from the truth. I have repeatedly said that IF the allegations are true. What I am arguing with is the people who want to say if they are all true. SO WHAT! Can't you see the difference there? Now exactly how is that casting aside the laws of the land?

The President takes a pledge too. As a matter of fact it's required by the constitution. It goes something like this...

"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" I do solemly swear to perserve and protect the office of the presidency and to abhold the laws of the Constitution"

Similar to stock picking, we are dealing with probabilities here. Based on the companies past performance Clinton what is the likelhood that he is telling the truth??

I'm sorry but you really need to pull your head out of the Texas sand there guy.

I don't know what your trying to say about Bush, but as far as I'm concerned the guy was honorable and decent.

Talk about convicting without evidence??

Michael

Hey Dude, As I remember the Code you're referring to, it was germaine only to soldiers in battle situations. What I think you're trying to address was the laws encodifed as the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) something that as I understand it, governs Chief Cummings daily activities.

Certainly the Civil Laws of the land will be applicable regarding the findings of the Starr probes, but there is a higher code of much harsher judgement that also applies. And that is the Court of Public Opinion. Like it or not that "court" is in session and the "jury" is passing judgements continuously. So far the prevailing judgement around here seems to be that the "dude" done desecrated a rather sacred public trust and image. His official effectiveness will be hampered by this for the forseeable future.
