What is so frustrating that after almost 3 years IOM still has no credibility or significant following on Wall Street. As a stock IOM is out there by its' self. When the stock trades it is independent of the prevailing market moves or favored sectors. The street likes to lump IOM with the disk stocks, but look at today, drive stocks strong and we were lucky to break even for the day.

Sometimes I wonder that if KE can successfully execute the long range plan if the stock will still be ostracized by the street. I suspect that nothing short of spectacular (as opposed to good) earnings and the Zip's inclusion in almost every box will finally get their attention. That's a lot to ask and a long time to wait.

Spank, not sure I follow your posting. What does IOM's "policy of no guidance" have to do with the analysts recommending the stock? Sure, analysts who follow the company will perform their own analysis and make their recommendations to their clients. Analysts will visit a company to get a first hand impression of what's going on, hold cc, etc. If an analyst is dead set against a no guidance policy, I suspect they wouldn't follow the company.

I sure did not imply that the analysts were deceived in anyway.

<Since the analysts are well aware of IOM's policy of no guidance, why
would they recommend ANYthing about IOM to their clients? >

Primary reason these little firms are jumping on the IOM bandwagon with coverage is this.....

IOM is in the big time now. They will at some point need some investment banking help. The little firms are hoping that buy providing coverage and being involved in the story that they have a better chance of securing the banking business when the time arises. With the big players not wanting to touch (for many reasons) the little banker is hoping he will land the big fish.
