Funny you mentioned Twisted Sister. I saw them on a regular basis at the Good Times Cafe in Poughkeepsie, NY when I was growing up in the Hudson Valley before they made it big. Lots of makeup but limited musical talent. They were an opening act for a far superior set of musicians who went by the name of Rat Race Choir. Their guitar player (Mark Hitt) was immensely talented, the drummer, Steve Luongo, went on to play with John Entwistle of the Who. RRC used a quadraphonic sound system and they are the reason my ears are still ringing all these years later <gg> A sample of what they could do:

Go about 8 minutes in to see Mark do his solo on "In the Dead of Night" 2 minutes in you can see Luongo's rather impressive drum kit.
