All: Adaptec statement to shareholders on class action law suits.
Copied from the company's web site. Promises vigorous defense.

"A Note To Our Shareholders:

Adaptec attorneys have reviewed published notices of the shareholder class action lawsuits filed. The suits allege violation of the federal securities laws by Adaptec and certain of its officers and directors during the period between April 29, 1997 and January 8, 1998. We believe the allegations are without merit. We believe the
company has always acted with integrity and in compliance with its legal disclosure obligations. We intend to defend the lawsuits vigorously."

I see that the Hodgkin Theory of the Behavior of Adaptec Share Price Opposite Market Trend is gaining credibility today. The institutional holders (representing about 89 percent of Adaptec owners) apparently are pumping money into INTC, CSCO, MSFT. Fortunately I own some of them, too. But it will take one heck of a bull market to make up for paper losses from the Adaptec price collapse.
