Brad,

Since this is the place for suggestions, How about a photo of the Webmistress? Or is she camera shy?

Brad, any way that if a message is sent to me that it could send a message to my ISP so if I am on-line it could notify me. Yahoo has this feature for thier E-Mail. It is a program you load on our P.C.

Nice upgrades. Love the personal message!

Mr. Bean

My current suggestion is to add links to the next 5 or 10 posts to the individual post display. A good example of what I mean can be found in
zdnet.com

I consider hopping forward and back in the list of the postings to be too cumbersome and slow. Therefore I use the next button in almost all my SI reading. Unfortunately we do now have far too much traffic to be able to keep up with all that interests me. And in some threads I consider the signal to noise ratio to be pretty bad. Therefore the ability to read through a thread and skip some of the posts would be very nice.

I would propose a list of Name of the poster, size of the article in bytes or percent of article visible in the preview and the begin of the text in one line.

Example:

Brad Dryer - 1200b - Daniel, Here is a fine place for suggestions. I
Andreas Helke - 8% - My current suggestion is to add links to the

Maybee it would make more sense to use two lines to get more of the text. This would even allow to read small responses completely without calling them up individually.

Andreas

Brad,

Can anything be done to allow easier importation of a an Excel spreadsheet. I have found myself doing some earnings estimates in Excel and when I transfer the file it gets all messed around...even using the keep original formatting button at the bottom. Maybe I am doing it incorrectly. Suggestions?

Brad:

Thanks for the many changes you have made. They will really
help. I think this thread will help you as well as us.
If you can, I would like to see the Ignore Button installed
as soon as possible. It will make life a lot more enjoyable
on the threads and make Jill's job a lot easier.
Keep up the good work.

Windows 95/NT Screen Saver Ideas:

Brad,

Ideas:

Ticker Symbols morphing into dollars.

Stock Ticker scrolling along the bottom.

Graphs that go up and down.

You could have a screen that suddenly goes hay wire due to hacker attacks (Just Kidding)

Incorporating the SI logo in the above. I think there are allot of ideas out there to make a real cool screen saver.

Just a thought.

Brad,

Have you ever considered reversing the respond form so the reply area will appear on the (top of the) screen with the original message quoted at the bottom of the form? That would prevent having to scroll down to the reply field everytime you do a response.

Regards,

David
