Cannondale to make off-road motorcycles

BETHEL, Conn., Feb 10 (Reuters) - Bicycle-maker Cannondale Corp Tuesday said it plans to make its own brand of off-road motorcycles.

The Connecticut-based company said it will unveil its first model this spring.

The company would provide no other details other than it will provide ''considerable'' innovation to at least three areas of motorcycle design.

Bike-Maker Cannondale to Produce Motorcycles

BETHEL, Conn., Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Bicycle-maker Cannondale has announced that it will manufacture and sell Cannondale branded off-road motorcycles. The Company will unveil its first model in the Spring of this year.

Cannondale Founder and President Joe Montgomery declined to provide additional details on the project. ''We'll be bringing considerable innovation to at least three different areas of motorcycle design,'' said Montgomery.
