I am guessing that we have gotten much better at treating the cases.
And I am guessing that people of 60 years and above with
other underlying conditions can only die once and that the
states are doing a better job of seeing that assisted living
places don't let Covid-19 in.

No question that docs and nurses have learned a lot since March and April. One key lesson is: don't use a ventilator except as a very very last resort. Apparently, COVID can do so much damage to the lungs that a ventilator is virtually a death sentence. They use proning instead and get much better results. That is why there isn't a ventilator shortage--because they aren't be used.

<<<I don't know what to make of this but the Deaths % has been steadily dropping.>>>>

We are learning how to treat the disease. Think HIV. There was a time the world was steeped in fear about this disease and that was because getting it originally was a death sentence.

There could be long term issues with being infected with COVID-19 so we still need be very vigilant.
