A lot of competition out there, for instance, my folks got their flu shots at Publix. (Sat. I got mine at Walgreens, along with the first of two shingles vax shots) And on Walgreens, our local store has gone down hill bigtime since it changed from previously being a Rite-aid

CVS does rapid tests in some locations In my area. They also modified existing stores and added Minute clinics in some of them.
Traditionally, the stores were designed to have a front that is more or less like an convince store and a back for meds and prescriptions. That model doesn’t work as well any more and sales from the front end have been falling. So it is important that they find out uses, which is what testing facilities and Minute clinics are doing which of course are synergistic with the back end.

CVS has done a good job with this and Mr Market hasn’t really given them any benefit in terms of Valuation. That’s why I think it’s a value stock.

WBA on the other side looks like a dead end business wise and a value trap.
