Janice, I think it is no more complicated than he knew the evidence was out there to nail him for perjury if he lied again about Flowers, but Lewinsky was a different story. Let's face it, I think he's willing to face a possible perjury charge (nearly impossible to prove). He was simply taking a calculated risk and not much of one at that. I mean, like he's really going to admit he's boinking a 21 year old intern in the WH?

Easy. Flowers was the distant past, Monica happened while in office, was first an intern then an employee.

And after the deposition, that option was gone.
