As one who is married to a lawyer, let me raise this proposition. Even if you don't have to be "educated" in order to be a lawyer, you do have to be a lawyer to be a lawyer. I happen to believe in the old fashioned notion that there is a reality. Either Grant surrendered to Lee at Richmond or Lee surrendered to Grant. Both arguments cannot be equally true. Either our friend who purports to be a lawyer is a lawyer or he isn't, educated or not. One thing we do know, he sure as hell "ain't no historian" as we say here in the sticks.

Well, is Mr. Potato one of those charity lawyers who works in evening clinics for the poor, or is he on a very long vacation, or is he just not a very BUSY attorney? He is just hanging out here much of the day, and he answers posts in about thirty seconds. If he is going to make a big deal about being an attorney, it might be more impressive if he gave the appearance of being employed and engaged.
