Joseph,

The interface and autodetect circuitry is internal to the drive in Zip Plus. You use the same cable for either parallel or SCSI. The interface for SyJet is in the cable, so you have a separate cable for SCSI and parallel. Slight advantage to Zip Plus in that aspect (only need one cable), but not significant.

Oh, and you're right. I've never used SyJet.

Joseph, i believe you are correct. but i submit your last sentence would be more accurate if it read "is that SyJets technology is the same as the original Zip drive with respect to the EPP-SCSI interfacing" . It may be semantics but facts are facts.
