thanks for remnding me that we had a poor peanut farmer who was honest in the white house. although the peanut business certainly did not flourish during his term, he did not have to endure endless prosecution for pre-presidency "offenses." unless forgiven, his legal bills will be in the tens of millions - far more than his meagre salary could ever provide for.

like carter, the man is not a crook. it can't be demonstrated that he has profited from his office. so, where does he make up the deficit. he will go down as one of the most effective presidents if he can sustain all of the economic gains for the people and country. people don't care about politics like they used to. now economics are their concern, and economics are only facilitated in washington.

george bush did not give a hoot about deregulation as either vice president or president. i worked for the government at the time and can tell you clinton and gore have actively shrunk the government. i just don't know why clinton has so many haters. i am not one of them.
