Excellent pepper crop this year, cayenne better than ever before, serranos are plentiful and the good news is the jalapenos are huge

I noticed that also Bob, I have pepper plants bountiful and larger than I have ever seen...

LOL for a lark I tried these... rather rude offerings.. great for a laugh at barbecues :) and heirlooms to boot.. makes you realise them pioneers had a sense of humour LOL

I am endlessly surprised you can grow serranos that far north. They are a nice pepper. I"ve grown chile de arbol and habaneros. Both too hot for me for most purposes....especially the habaneros.

A summer with a lot of bright sun really brings out the flavor in a lot of garden foods. Requires extra watering but most of the garden likes that sun.

Prepping a garlic bed for next season now. I'm looking at ways too add more food for birds here. Putting in thimbleberrys, sand cherry, and sumac. This nursery has some interesting stuff: nativefoodsnursery.com .
